GW1 Issue 151 – A Visit With George, Ralph & Lizzie

We’re back with another big monster movie this week. Rampage, based on the video game, gives us the massive mutated animals destroying a city that we’ve all been waiting for – but was it worth watching? And Miss Dawn was all about going to the movies this week and has a couple of quick reviews for Isle of Dogs and A Quiet Place as well. Plus we have some Oddmall updates, details about a parade and some interesting geek news from the week covering movies, tv, comics and gaming. Listen now!

What we’re up to – checking out a few movies, attending local art openings, catching up on season finales and looking forward to season premieres

Oddmall: Emporium of the Weird is May 5-6 in Akron – come meet us (and get some swag!), check out the cool cosplay (and costume contest), sit in on a panel or two, enjoy the local entertainment, show off your (questionable) talents and buy some awesome art from the vendors

Join the Parade of Oddballs on Memorial Day in the Green parade!

News – record breaking Infinity War presales, Jessica Jones season 3 confirmed, Disney/Fox deal completion in mid-2019 plus Sky acquisition, Joe Hill’s NOS4A2 tv show, Rick and Morty D&D comic, King of Donkey Kong dethroned, Treadstone pilot ordered

Isle of Dogs review – a typical Wes Anderson movie that’s made better because of the impressive animation

A Quiet Place review –  a tense, well-made thriller that will have you holding your breath

Rampage review – how it compares to the original game, whether the dumbed down science worked, how good the effects were
