I first became interested in comics as a child, not by reading about superheroes or adventure stories, but through ham radio. Every year I would go backstage at the All-American Soap Box Derby in Akron with my dad as he radioed in each driver and coordinated races. Irregular’s Intel – Purposeful Geekness
This is a subject that has been on my mind a lot, lately. A couple of weeks ago there was a story about a young attorney who ran for city council and won and took his oath while holding a replica of Captain America’s shield.
