GW1 Issue 104 – More TV Than You Can Watch

There was a lot of television news this week, so that’s what we’re chatting about (well, most of us are… Kylan is mumbling his way through because of dental work). First we cover Oddmall… yes, there’s another one this weekend and it’s outdoors! Then we get into TV, with cancellations, renewals, new shows and a return to sci-fi. Listen now!  Continue reading GW1 Issue 104 – More TV Than You Can Watch

Comics Cosmos – Caged Lightning

If you’re into comics and superheroes, you have probably heard about a new addition to the CW superhero lineup of shows. It was announced last week that DC’s Black Lightning has received a full series order and will likely show up as a midseason replacement. And though he has been around since the late 70s, he’s not a very well-known character.  Continue reading Comics Cosmos – Caged Lightning

She Geek Critique – Enlarging the Universe

If you’ve been reading my posts for a while, you know how I feel about creators messing with their creations after the fact. (I sort of went off a little on a certain comic book icon and a particular movie director about this.) I am of the opinion that once your creation is released to the world (no matter what form it takes), you should let it be appreciated for what it is and not try to meddle with it. Best Geeky Finds – If I Had $1,000,000: The Brass Teapot

After stealing a mysterious teapot from an antique shop, Alice (Juno Temple) and John (Michael Angarano) discover that it produces cash whenever in the presence of pain. Whenever either harms themselves in the vicinity of the teapot, cash appears, increasing in amounts depending on how much they hurt.  Continue reading Best Geeky Finds – If I Had $1,000,000: The Brass Teapot

Irregular’s Intel – Mental Vacations

I may be stating the obvious here, but we all want and need time away. It’s why we look forward to that precious time off from work. We write songs about it, dedicate commercials to ways of making it better, and there’s an entire industry dedicated to making that time off the absolute best that it can be. But, you know, we also do this in little ways. We don’t have to pack up the Vista Cruiser and head to Wally World nor do we need to head to the Golden Arches to have a break. We have everything we need between our ears.  Continue reading Irregular’s Intel – Mental Vacations
