She Geek Critique – Hunting Demons

It’s been three years since the first (and only) season of Constantine aired. At that time it was an ambitious show for a big television network because it was so dark, literally and figuratively. Of course, it couldn’t be any other way with a title character who is an occult detective and self-described master of the dark arts (yes, it’s on his business cards). There’s details about a big screen version of the classic mini-series V, some new STEM toys from Disney and an update on when to expect the new season of Doctor Who. Plus we chat a bit about the joy of cheap comic trade paperbacks and how much we’re enjoying the return of Legends of Tomorrow Listen now!  Continue reading GW1 Issue 144 – Farewell to the Octagon

Whether it be how a comicbook company started, the development of a favorite character or the difficulties of a particular artist or writer when breaking into the industry, the stories behind the books can be as exciting as the comics themselves. And, last fall, Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics began sharing some of those stories with the world.  Continue reading Comics Cosmos – Comicbook History
