In a few days I will be changing careers for the third, maybe fourth time in my life. It is a little nerve wracking, but yet so exhilarating. I get to start over, hit the reset button, if you will. This is similar to reinvention (see last week’s entry for that bit of prose), but different. I’m not making a full on redefinition of myself, merely an aspect of my life, in this case, what I do to make money. The excitement comes from my going into a completely different field, one that I have the skills for, just applying them somewhat differently. This is going to make for some interesting days to come!

The beauty in starting over is that you have a fresh canvass… one that you can either decorate the same as before or do something different with. Maybe highlight an aspect of yourself that has been ignored for some time. Forget about your past, take the future into some consideration, but follow your gut, your heart, or a mix of the two, and see where your adventure will take you.

I have encountered several who have wished me well in my new adventures… and I love that word. The word adventure invokes the feeling of excitement, the anticipation of facing the unknown, the journey to discover more of who you are! Isn’t all of that just so cool? I do not know what to expect in my adventure, but I am ready and can’t wait to see what is next!
