Irregular’s Intel – Why?

Ok, someone needs to explain to me why there are 48 medical dramas, but it takes an act of congress and a small living sacrifice for a decent spy show to stick around for longer than 3 months? I mean, seriously! There’s only so much drama one person can take! And, on top of that, there’s hardly any real work getting done at said hospitals… the mortality rates must be through the roof!

There’s a show that I’m really enjoying right now, The Brave on NBC, and it is pretty much on the verge of getting cancelled. I remember a time when a spy could enjoy a two season minimum before being sent out to pasture. But, nope, we need Dr. Sexy and Dr. Dreamy along with Dr. Renegade to keep us entertained with the same reconstituted plots again and again. I’m just over it.

I’m lucky in that some of these shows get a second life in syndication or they get a Blu Ray release. No, I don’t buy them all, but I’m saying that at least for the few of us that enjoy some action with their television viewing, we have a few options out there. At any rate, if you can, or if you care to, at least give The Brave a shot. It’s not your typical spy show and you may find yourself pleasantly surprised.
