Playing Around – Going to the Dogs

Sometimes you just want to kick back and play a quick, straightforward tabletop game with a cute theme. It’s even better if you’re able to do that whenever you feel like it, with games that are single player. If you’re a dog lover, there are a couple of fun games from Renegade Game Studios that should satisfy those needs.

First up is Doggy Go! In this easy to learn tile game, you are a trainer of circus dogs. The goal is to be the first to complete acrobatic patterns on cards with your doggy tiles. The game includes 28 tiles covering seven dog breeds and 30 double sided cards. It’s for 1-4 players and because it’s a test of speed, games are only 15-30 minutes long.

A second dog game from Renegade is Shiba Inu House. This is another game of speed and patterns, this time with cards. Players have Dog House cards depicting specific patterns of dog houses and they need to place their Shiba Inu cards in the correct pattern as fast as possible to gain points. For 1-5 players, this is also a 15-30 minute game.

Both of these games have some cute artwork and can be fun for kids and adults. They are less than $20 each and available now.
