Comics Cosmos – An Extraordinary League

At Comic-Con International last weekend, it was announced that the fourth (and final) volume of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen had been completed, though no release date has been set. Written by Alan Moore, with art by Kevin O’Neill, the series began in 1999 as a sort of Victorian Justice League, but with a pronounced literary bent. She Geek Critique – All the Things

Unless you live under a rock (or were vacationing there for the weekend), you know that Comic-Con International (aka San Diego Comic-Con aka SDCC) took place last weekend. It stopped being a true comic convention years ago and is now a pop culture and media convention. Of course, a lot of today’s pop culture is based on comicbook properties, so there’s a full circle thing going on anyway. Best Geeky Finds – Everybody Has a Story

You may have only been 10-years-old, but you constantly hear the same story at every family get-together. You hear it so much that you also tell your friends and coworkers. They relate to your story and start telling their own adventures, which inspire others to tell tales, etc., etc. Ultimately, you hear one of these stories that remind you of the same tale you’ve been hearing since your childhood. Irregular’s Intel – You’re It!

When I was in college and the Cold War was ending, but the effects were still everywhere, I participated in an unofficial game called T.A.G. – The Assassination Game. The idea was that we were all agents or assassins and each of us was given a target. You had a plethora of ways to eliminate your mark, from shooting, with a toy gun of course, to “mailing” a poison envelope.
