When I was a kid, it was no big deal to see Captain America anywhere. He wore a version of the Stars and Stripes on his uniform (remember, it was issued to him by the military, so… uniform). He represented the United States, so that was ok. But when I saw Captain Britain, Sunfire or Guardian it threw me for a loop! You see, each of characters wear versions of the British flag, Imperial Japan flag and Canadian flag, respectively. Comics Cosmos – The Vision
Whether you’re a Marvel movie fan or you read the comics (or both!), you’ve heard of Vision. He’s actually had a few iterations over the years, beginning as an alien in 1940 through the android/synthoid most are familiar with from the MCU. He has a long history in comics and has primarily appeared with the Avengers or various members thereof, though he did have a couple four-issue series runs of his own (1994 and 2003). Irregular’s Intel – My Summer Vacation, Part 2
Anyone who has touched a comic has been influenced but Geppi, the man behind Geppi’s Entertainment Museum in Baltimore Maryland. Geppi, one time comic shop owner and baseball fan, was able to turn his passion into Diamond Distributors and to become part owner of the Baltimore Orioles.
