Best Geeky Finds – Life… I’ll Talk to You About Life

Last weekend was intense. I realize that’s describing it bluntly, but that’s the easiest way to describe the crazy two days I had. It began Saturday morning with a trip to the Wizardly World of Kent festival, formerly known as “Potterfest” until Warner Bros. decided to clamp down on people having fun with their “creative license.” 33% bigger than last year, it was packed from the minute the show opened with wands out. No, literally, more wands than there were wizards to choose. Nonetheless, it was awesome. In my many years of being a Harry Potter fan, I haven’t been to any show as large of this. Coming to the show with my friend Ashley and her daughter Gracie, we ran into a whole bunch of people I knew, mostly from Oddmall.  Continue reading Best Geeky Finds – Life… I’ll Talk to You About Life

Irregular’s Intel – For Randy

I stand before you a changed man, a different man. Not too long ago I was amazed to be able to walk and chew gum at the same time. Be it a birthday celebration or a chance reunion among friends, there are those rare occasion where the meal is beyond “good”. It’s the perfect storm of timing, the company, the atmosphere, and the food – all of it is sheer perfection. And you can never plan it, it just happens.  Continue reading Irregular’s Intel – The Power of a Good Meal

Irregular’s Intel – No Apologies

There are a few things that have been on my mind in recent weeks and I have struggled with whether I should write about them here. This is a “mostly” geek blog and I know that people get tired of being inundated with the 24-hour news cycle and the endless screaming from both sides. I get that, but I would be doing a disservice if I just played along like all is well in Geek World. Well, it’s not! There’re some hinkey things afoot in our corner of the world and I’m not OK with it.  Continue reading Irregular’s Intel – No Apologies
