Irregular’s Intel – Pacific Rim and Mecha

I love mecha, I really do! I’ve longed to wake up and find out that I am a pilot of a Veritech fighter and can fly around and transform at will and kick some Zentradi ass! I’d even be happy to control a Gundam. I’ve hoped and wondered how would that even look on the big screen? We did have a glimps of that in the B movie Robot Jox and it was about as good as you could get with a B movie budget in the 80’s. So it was back to anime. Best Geeky Finds – They’re All Dead Dave!

It’s not often that a series about the aftermath of a large-scale death not only lasts long without zombies, but reaches 12 seasons in less than 30 years. Yet for followers of the British cable series Red Dwarf, the four main characters have not only done this, but continue to be topical in the future.  Continue reading Best Geeky Finds – They’re All Dead Dave!

Best Geeky Finds – Are We Not Men? Maybe Not

As we near the end of the year I’ve been in a bit of a holiday slump, not feeling like doing much but sleeping and watching television. Not a great few weeks. One good thing about that though is that it has allowed me to catch up on some shows I hadn’t gotten to watch previously. One such show I binge-watched this week was WestworldContinue reading Best Geeky Finds – Are We Not Men? Maybe Not
