Irregular’s Intel – How Moral is the “No Killing” Rule?

A certain legendary superhero is celebrating a major milestone this week, his 1,000th issue. No, this blog is not about that, but it does address a certain rule that he and most associated with him do follow: the “no killing” rule. The rule is, basically, regardless of how evil an individual is or what they’ve done, said hero will not end the villain’s life, at any cost. Now, think about that for a moment. On the surface it appears to be the most moral of rules. It shows respect for all life and also shows that there is another way. How wonderful is that? Irregular’s Intel – Why I Love Luke Cage (Revisited)

Blog-IIHere at Geek Watch One, we try to not repeat ourselves. But with Luke Cage hitting Netflix this week, we thought it was worth revisiting Kylan’s post from last year covering the character’s history. Enjoy!

Ride with me in the way back machine as I give you a crash course on him from his meager beginnings to his rise to the top. Continue reading Irregular’s Intel – Why I Love Luke Cage (Revisited)

Comics Cosmos – The Runaways

ccWith so many comic book properties in the works for movies and television, we thought it might be a good idea to introduce (in a relatively non-spoilery way) properties that some people may not know much about. We’ll get things started with The Runaways, which was recently announced as receiving a full season order from Hulu. Continue reading Comics Cosmos – The Runaways

Best Geeky Finds – It’s Time for a New Dyna-mic Duo

Blog-BGFIn the 70s there was a plethora of great Saturday morning television. Kids were able to catch Spider-man and his amazing friends, the Hulk, Lancelot Link, Superman, H.R. Puff N Stuff, and even Captain Marvel (I just discovered a clip of this – really?). Thinking back on these shows though, being in the age of superheroes films and television, one show produced by the creators of several of the previously mentioned shows, Sid & Marty Krofft, stands out. That show is Electra Woman & Dyna Girl. Continue reading Best Geeky Finds – It’s Time for a New Dyna-mic Duo
