A new Suicide Squad trailer dropped last week. On YouTube it already has almost 10 million views. This movie seems to be what the DC cinematic universe needs after the mixed reviews and backlash from the Dawn of Justice film. From the views on YouTube, the Suicide Squad trailer has more views than the Dawn of Justice one!

As I have said before, I enjoyed the Dawn of Justice movie but I was previously and still am more excited for Suicide Squad than any other comic book film to be released this year. This trailer is called the Blitz Trailer. It shows the characters as more of a team and also goes more in-depth with the team having a connection with each other. There are new scenes that show the team working together as a cohesive unit. At one point in the trailer we even see Harley Quinn and Killer Croc do a strange double team move to take out some of the goons.

At the end of the trailer the Squad is drinking at a bar, showing us that they do like each other’s company and they all want to get out of this mission alive. We also hear other characters on the team talk who we haven’t heard before like El Diablo, Killer Croc and Katana. I’ve noticed that with each trailer they release the more humor is used for each one. I don’t think this is a bad thing, but I am worried that they are trying to sell us on all of the funny parts of the movie. Hopefully we won’t see all of the jokes used and we can still laugh at them when the time comes.
