If you want to find some creative new games, browsing around through Kickstarter is a good start. A fun, family-friendly card game that just began a campaign is Noises At Night by B & B Games Studio. Taking only 15 minutes to play, it’s a good way for 2-4 players (ages 6 and up) to have a little fun playing detective. 

The purpose of the game is to score victory points, which can be accomplished in multiple ways. For example, each player has a secret identity and, as clues are shared throughout the game, points can be won by guessing another player’s identity. In addition, cards played have different point values and, depending where and how they are used, points are awarded to one or all players. Basically, you need to be a good detective and pay attention!

The game comes with player and scoring tokens, reference sheets and cards depicting identities, locations, events and clues. With all the pieces involved, there are more than 70 pieces of unique artwork in the game. And the best part is that you can get all of it for barely $20. The kickstarter campaign runs until February 16 and (impressively) is already more than half funded. Noises at Night is expected to ship in July.
