With licenses to create games for franchises like Harry Potter, Bob’s Burgers, Marvel and all things Disney, USAopoly has a lock on pop culture board games. This week they announced a new one that has a lot of fans happy: Die Hard: The Nakatomi Heist Board Game.

Hitting stores soon (spring 2019, according to the press release), the game uses a one-versus-many schemes that pits John McClane against a collection of “bad guys” as he attempts to rescue the hostages in Nakatomi Plaza. That’s right – you essentially get to play through the movie! The gameplay incorporates callbacks to Die Hard’s most memorable scenes, characters and events.

The lead game designer at  USAopoly noted: “We are developing a game that will deeply resonate with Die Hard enthusiasts, incorporating even the slightest details to create a rich and entertaining experience that properly pays tribute to arguably the greatest action movie of all time.”

For 3-8 players, ages 12 and up, a session can take less than 30 minutes. There’s no specific release date or price yet, but check your favorite gaming store for updates.
