Late last year, Oni Press announced that Rick and Morty comics were going to have one shot spinoffs. These would feature popular secondary characters from the show, some of which may have shown up in only one episode. The first one shot came out at the beginning of March and featured the superhero team The Vindicators.

Rick and Morty Presents: The Vindicators follows the fourth adventure of the heroes (though if you watch the series, you know it’s only the third time that Rick and Morty have been involved). The team needs help to defeat a new, big threat going by the name Boon. He has a big thing for balls – Infinity Balls. And yes, he wears a big glove to handle them too. C’mon, it wouldn’t be a great Rick and Morty story if it wasn’t making fun of other pop culture!

This is a fun story that fans will love. It has the post-apocalypse Death Stalkers, Pickle Rick, Scary Terry, loads of Meeseeks and the usual portals and multiple deaths. You know it’s unlikely that most of the characters are making it out of this one alive!
