Meeple Moments – Game of the Month: Muse

Occasionally we feature a post from our friends at The Malted Meeple. Their Game of the Month series highlights one of the many games in their libraries at Ravenwood Castle and The Malted Meeple. They briefly describe the game, how to play it, and why they like it.

Game: Muse

In Greek mythology, the Muses were goddesses of inspiration in literature, the arts, and science. It seems only fitting that there be a board game influenced by such inspirational figures. Muse is a new party game by Quick Simple Fun Games where players use cryptic clues to inspire their teammates. The first team to collect five masterpieces wins.

Muse is a fun and accessible party game for two or more teams of players. Each team is made up of two or more players. On your team’s turn, one player will act as the Muse for that round. The Muse must provide a cryptic clue to their teammates, who play the role of artists. The twist is that the Muse does not get to choose the medium for their inspiration! The inspiration may instruct the muse to sing a song, say a number, or make a shape with their hands. The artists will use that clue to guide them in their efforts to pick a masterpiece out of a lineup of six beautifully illustrated full color art cards. The first team to complete five masterpieces wins the game!
