I interviewed friend and geekster James from Arizona. This past weekend he attended Saboten Con.

V: What’s your geek?
J: Geek? Lots

V: Can you give examples?
J: I have lots of geek stuff. Comics, games, board and video and card, action figures
anime, manga, books.

V: Anime or cartoons?
J: Anime

V: Favorite comic?
J: Green Lantern

V: Favorite movie type?
J: Sci-fi

V: Favorite comic characters?
J: Kitty Pryde and Green Lantern.

V: How is the con going?
J: Pretty good. The panel went long.

V: Which panel?
J: The future of Robotech. Mostly Tommy Yune talking about the past, about new comic book company next year and Sony taking over production of the live action movie. The movie is in fast production. They even have a director.

V: Great who?
J: The director who did Fast and furious 7

V: When do you think it will be out?
J: Out? 2016 I believe. Sony is fast tracking it.

V: Maybe 2017?
J: Probably. But they are really excited and want to it justice.

V: I hope so?
J: From what he was saying, they want to do it right. Especially since they have killed Fantastic Four and Spider Man.

V: Haha
J: They also have producers that grew up on it. I don’t remember whom though.

James has been collecting toys a long time. G.I. Joe, transformers and mecha in general. Been collecting comics since ’78. Watching anime since the 70’s,I started with Battle of the Planets. Loves Robotech and mecha anime. He cosplayed in the early 90’s Hal Jordan. He plays video games when he can, RPGs, FPS but his favorite are survival horror.
