GW1 Issue 155 – Check Local Listings

This week there’s no blockbuster movie, no major event, no big season finale – so Kylan and Ken finally get to talk about one of their favorite things: syndicated 80s & 90s tv shows. It’s all the cheese, barely adequate writing and bad special effects you could want… and more! But first we cover the fun we had at Bark in the Park, the Humane Society of Summit County’s doggy fun fair and charity walk. And we have some interesting geek news to share, including details on long-awaited sequels, a couple of show renewals and why the score to Deadpool 2 has a parental advisory. Listen now!

Bark in the Park – we took our mascots, Cassi and Zoe, to the annual charity walk/run fundraiser for our local humane society and came out of it with loads of samples and coupons

News – some tv show cancellations have been announced, no series pick up for Wayward Sisters, Cobra Kai renewed for season 2, Rick and Morty renewed for 70 episodes, Bill & Ted Face the Music is finally in pre-production, Sherlock Holmes 3 set for 2020, a choose your own adventure movie from Fox, James Brown graphic novel bio from IDW coming in October, Avengers little free libraries, Deadpool 2 explicit score track and classics on the soundtrack

Syndicated tv shows – so many action, fantasy and sci-fi shows from the 80s and 90s… and, of course, Kylan and Ken watched a lot of them; we talk Forever Knight, Renegade, Nightman, Mantis, Soldier of Fortune Inc., Baywatch Nights, Acapulco HEAT, Thunder in Paradise and more
