As autumn comes upon us I begin to feel it in the air. The energy, the excitement… it’s my time. I love fall for a number of reasons. The color changes, the crispness in the air, football. But there is one thing in particular that makes this time of the year extra special for me: it is prime reading time!! You know it is!! I mean, for some reason it just seems that the weather is usually perfect to hole up and get my read on! 

The overcast days, the autumn storms and the long nights just scream READING TIME for me. And, usually, it is either spy fiction, fantasy or mysteries. I don’t mean to coordinate my genre with the season, but I do. I mean, summer I tend to lean towards sci fi and action, not to say that I don’t read those any other time of the year, but my tastes tend to go to certain books. Needless to say, I’m hoping to kick it into overdrive and salvage my 50 book reading goal!

So, there you have it. Does the season affect whether or not you read more or less? Does it affect what you read? Am I a weirdo? Who knows?! But I hope that this at least gives you something to think about as you pick up Casino Royale!
