Playing Around – Why Spider-Man is Perfect for the Casual Gamer

Hello, I’m Kylan, Marvel fan and casual gamer. I say casual because, as much as I would love to dedicate more time to gaming, I have a pretty busy life and I can only squeeze in so much. That being said, I love the PS4’s Spider-Man!! This game is designed for you to get in and tool around, kick the tires a bit then see where you can go.

There is a rather extensive main mission, several mini missions, the open space of New York City and all manner of crime that you can either choose, or not, to stop. So it’s perfect when you have about 30 minutes and want to swing around the city or you have a considerable chunk of time to invest in advancing the main story.

The added bonus is, while you’re doing all of that, you will want to go back several times and do more. Plus, the upcoming DLC is all narrative based. So, along with the Big Apple, you get additional stories. Add to that the various suits and their abilities and you can  conceivably be playing for a long time, in varying amounts.

I won’t devolve into a critique of the game here. You can, and probably have, either read about or played the game already anyway. This is just my POV as a casual gamer and how pleasant my experience has been with learning the game without the large amount of time a game like this usually requires.
