Best Geeky Finds – “We’re not black!” – What Orphan Black Really Means (at Least to Me)

It all started with a train. Actually, it was 3 young women in the suburbs who realized they were identical. It was a mysterious Ukrainian murder with a specific M.O. A father who couldn’t face ever seeing his daughter pass away.

No matter how it began, Orphan Black finished its final season last weekend. She Geek Critique – When the Time is Right

This past weekend was the series finale for Orphan Black. It was one of the best dark science sci-fi shows on television and it will most definitely be missed. It amassed quite a fan following over it’s five-year span and it’s easy to see why. It had some great writing, an engrossing plot and some of the best acting to be seen in years, primarily from Tatiana Maslany who played the five primary clone characters plus any additional clones that popped up along the way. But as good as it was, Orphan Black was a show with a plan in place – the series was intended to span five years and it did, providing a full story arc and satisfying ending for viewers.  Continue reading She Geek Critique – When the Time is Right

She Geek Critique – Clone Club

This past weekend, Orphan Black began it’s fifth and final season. It’s a planned exit, which means the stories will be wrapped up in the way the creators intended, which is always a good thing. Of course, like most fans, I’m not happy to see the show leave.
