Best Geeky Finds – Marketing the Console Wars

bestgeekyfindsIt’s Black Friday weekend, which means video game sales are rolling out (if they haven’t already where you live). The PS4 and Xbox One are in high demand, and we’re getting games like Star Wars: Battlefront, Lego Dimensions, and Fallout 4. The amazing thing is, I don’t see commercials on television for many of these games anymore. This may be due to changes in how gamers get their news, so most of these ads are limited to the Internet.

The Gamer Geek Blog – Deals & Rumors

No real news things this week, just a lot of black Friday deals. League of Legends and Smite are getting patched – both are just some game play balancing and skins.

The Fire Emblem Fates pre-orders are gone from Amazon, Best Buy, and Gamestop so if you were planning on pre-ordering on black Friday, you’re out of luck. If Nintendo is smart they will do another round of them like with the new Xenoblade X, but even if they don’t, you can buy one game get the other for half off and get the third one for $20 as well, bringing your total to $80 if you pre-order or not.
