Best Geeky Finds – In a World Full of Lego You Always Keep Building

Blog-BGFIn the Marvel Universe (comic or MCU) this is definitely important when you consider how much gets destroyed in battles with Hydra, Dr. Doom, The Green Goblin, or any of the many villains of the X-men. I recently began playing Lego Marvel Superheroes, and some, if not all, of these villains make their presence known as the Avengers, Spidey, Fantastic Four and the X-Men all team up to combat the many supervillains in league with Dr. Doom and his plan involving mysterious Cosmic Bricks. Strong enough to take out Silver Surfer, these must be dangerous.

With the help of Phil Coulson and Maria Hill, under management of Director Fury himself, you play as a minimum of two Marvel heroes at a time to complete missions to take down the evil doers and save the day, all in the style of any Lego video game—by destroying everything in sight.

While a major perk of this game is Clark Gregg voicing the character of Agent Coulson, this games adds an extra perk of saving Stan Lee in each level as well as throughout the city (150 in all). If you have ever played a Lego video game (including the pre-voiced games) you’ll know the games often have similar game dynamics- find all parts of a puzzle, find all the coins, get a mysterious brick. Now this time players get to find something cooler.

Although I have only recently started the game (8%, and I’ve still covered many levels), this is beyond par for Lego games, including Lego Batman 2, which works in the same way character-wise under a different comic universe. Even if you have played Lego games previously and feel the same way about their often repetitive nature, I recommend this game for both game and story. If nothing else, see how many times Stan Lee will exclaim: EXCELSIOR!!
