Virtual reality (VR) has been a theme in sci-fi novels since before VR was actually a reality. Obviously, it’s a little more prevalent now, with a common plot line being what could go wrong either due to the technology itself or the people using and abusing it. Over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend I broke up with a book. It was hard. I mean, I am a man of my word and I stand by my commitments, but this just wasn’t working out. I dragged through each chapter, hoping to find something to spark my interest, to make me want to stay. But, alas, there was nothing.
