GW1 Issue 138 – Great Big Universe

It seems like every property wants to create a universe these days. After all, it’s been a massive success for Marvel, with the MCU, tv shows, animated series and comics all connecting in some way. DC is floundering a bit, but making the attempt. And there are others too, like the Wizarding World, Kaijus and repeatedly failing Dark Universe. So we have plenty to talk about this week. She Geek Critique – Why Marvel Rules the Box Office

Brace yourselves – this week I’m going flat out Marvel vs. DC. Yes, I’m a Marvel chick, but to reiterate what I’ve stated in past posts, I do not hate DC. The majority of the characters and plots in its comics simply don’t do it for me. Marvel just does a better job of satisfying my tastes. GW1 Issue 131 – A League of Their Own

After spending an entire day doing some heavy lifting, we recorded for the very first time from our future home at the Oddmall Outpost! We have a bit of a preview of what’s to come at this new, permanent location for oddness plus details about the next Oddmall, coming in just a couple weeks. In geek news, there were some good movie trailers released last week, plus there’s a big geek museum exhibit coming in the new year. She Geek Critique – Bringing the League Together

If you follow me or Geek Watch One, you know I’m a Marvel chick. The Marvel style, characters, stories – it’s just my preference. But this doesn’t mean I hate DC. In fact, as a kid, Marvel and DC were both part of my life and I had a particular fondness for the Justice League.
