Irregular’s Intel – My Reason For the Season

As autumn comes upon us I begin to feel it in the air. The energy, the excitement… it’s my time. I love fall for a number of reasons. The color changes, the crispness in the air, football. But there is one thing in particular that makes this time of the year extra special for me: it is prime reading time!! You know it is!! I mean, for some reason it just seems that the weather is usually perfect to hole up and get my read on!  Continue reading Irregular’s Intel – My Reason For the Season

Irregular’s Intel – Cheers to the Late Bloomers of the World

The other day I was talking to my wife about where I am in life at this moment. I was talking about how happy I am and how it has taken me longer than most to start to realize my potential, sorta. I’m fresh from binging season two of Cobra Kai. I can say that it is as strong as, if not a bit stronger than, season one. Where season one took the whole “the more things change, the more they remain the same” approach, season two seemed to take it even further into the reality of consequences. It gets a bit heavy, but let me break it down.  Continue reading Irregular’s Intel – My Thoughts on Cobra Kai

Irregular’s Intel – Hope for Humanity

I had a dear friend come out to me as Bi recently. When he did, he asked that it not change how I felt about him. I told him who he was attracted to didn’t matter to me, that he was my friend no matter what. In the course of our conversation, he shared with me how he came to this realization and it was not easy at all. It was through a lot of reflection that he’d made peace with something that he’d lived with his entire life. I told him that the bravery that it took to be so honest with himself was commendable, and I loved him no matter what.  Continue reading Irregular’s Intel – Hope for Humanity
