Comics Cosmos – Rain, Snow or… Intergalactic Fire Fight?!

In the world of comics, not surprisingly, there are some seriously “out there” stories. You get everything from superheroes to aliens, mythological creatures to the paranormal and covert operatives to postal workers. Yes, you read that right – postal workers, as in the Intergalactic Postal Service featured in Space Bastards!

The future of America is in the cosmos. But a little thing called infrastructure is a bit of a problem – because there really isn’t any. So how is anyone supposed to get mail delivered between planets? Free enterprise, that’s how!

“The rules are simple:  whoever delivers the package gets the cash, and postal workers can use any means necessary to steal that package and deliver it themselves.  The more times a package transfers hands, the more fees stack up.  The tougher the delivery, the higher the reward.”

The first volume of Space Bastards shows you a postal service like you never imagined – cutthroat and violent, but always keeping a successful delivery in sight. It’s action packed, with a crazy plot and some fantastic artwork. Definitely a wild ride, but plenty of adventure along the way. And the volume is available via an already funded Kickstarter campaign.

A mere $30 gets you the deluxe hardcover of 130 pages, set for delivery in October. Written by Eric Peterson and Joe Aubrey, it includes art from Darick Robertson (Transmetropolitan, The Boys, Happy!), Simon Bisley (Lobo, Slaine), Colin MacNeil (America, Judge Dredd) and more. Even better, if you like what you read, the next four volumes worth of content has already been produced. So go check out that Kickstarter and support your local Intergalactic Postal Service today!
