Here’s another of the games on my NX wish list.

Pokemon

This spot is very biased because of my relationship with Pokemon, but I feel like this idea is sound. Because the NX can run Zelda BOTW and that game is going to be huge this should be easy. What I want is a hybrid Pokemon Stadium and Colosseum – mix the story elements of Colosseum with key features of Stadium. So give it a great story with a new region, something big and diverse, but mix in the gym/league format of Stadium. And if you have friends over you can play minigames or even battle each other since Sun and Moon is going to have that battle royal thing. That would be fun and kind of different, which Nintendo loves doing.

But don’t do the thing they do and make the game easy as pie – X/Y and Oras are so easy it’s not fun. I get the games are meant for kids, but give something for the older fan. I know there is a metagame and competitive battling, but I don’t want to spend hours making a team and training them just to see they aren’t in the meta. That isn’t fun. I respect everyone that does do it, but that’s all they do and I like playing other games.
