99% of the time, I am all about the heroes. I like living in a world where the good guys win. But, having said that, I love a good villain! Blofeld, Jaws, Deathstroke and Batroc the Leaper are just a few of the villians I look forward to encountering in a movie, book, game or comic. These are the ones who really challenge the heroes, who push them to the limit. 

I lost my mind when I found out that the Black Widow’s big bad in her standalone movie would be Taskmaster! He is probably one of my 3 favorite antagonists of all time. Wanna know why? Go look him up, I’ll wait… See? I am jealous of that ability and that alone would make him a truly formidable opponent. He requires that the physical conflict have an intellectual component as well.

If you think about it, the villain makes the hero. The Guardian is nothing without Mr. Glass. Holmes would be bored without Moriarty to put him to the test. And, lets face it, we ALL love seeing Daredevil and Kingpin go at it! Who is your favorite hero – would they still be if they faced off against lame villains? Let me know what you think!
