Luke Cage and Danny Rand have both stepped up to the plate and had their series on Netflix. Now the wait is on for Marvel’s The Defenders. That’s all well and good, but the bigger question is, are we ready for a live action Heroes for Hire? I’d say, no. Danny and Luke need to sort out their personal stuff before we get to have Power Man and Iron Fist. 

Luke has to clear up what landed him in jail. Along with his legal issues, there’s making peace with Jessica and seeing where things are going with Claire. And, by the way, is it me or does it look like we might be getting White Tiger out of Claire? I know that it isn’t actual canon, but does that really matter at this point?

Now Danny… Danny, Danny, Danny. He has to deal with his younger self and the fact that he was only a child who had no training. Plus, he has not come into his own, not quite yet. He has to be able to reconcile super rich kid and fighting monk. The Danny we have now is a bit of a mess and needs to meditate a little while longer.

Am I ready for a live action H4H? Heck yeah! Based on the Netflix shows, are the characters ready for it now? Heck no! Luke and Danny need to trim the fat, as it were, from their lives. They need to embrace their inner heroes first before they can regularly save others.
