This week I got to interview a very funny and talented friend of mine, Julie Lombardy. So, let’s find out what her geek is.

V: Tell us a little about yourself?
JL: I’m a self-appointed Akron Ambassador, jewelry maker, friend, daughter, and out of control book addict.

V: What’s your geek?
JL: I tend to live a little too earnestly in my fiction books. I get entirely too involved with the characters and I cheer with them, cry with them, laugh with them, and wish I could climb into the book and just be part of the story. My favorite book series (so far) has been The Tales of The City by Armistead Maupin. There are nine books, spanning from 1978 to 2014. The volumes chronicle the lives of the people who live in an apartment building in San Francisco. So, I’ve been interested in going to San Francisco since I read the first novel. But, I don’t just want to go to current-time San Francisco; I want to go to 28 Barbary Lane and visit with Mrs. Madrigal, Michael, Brian, Mary Ann, Mona and the entire “family.”

V: Do you have a favorite memory?
JL: Laughing with my family. Any time we laugh together is my favorite memory.
