V-Yellow’s Comic Box – Year-End Round-Up

VernComicThis year treated us to a lot of comic book shows and films. With television shows and movies such as Daredevil, Agents of SHIELD, Gotham, Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, Ant-Man, The Avengers Age of Ultron, Jessica Jones and iZombie, and they ended the year off right with Star Wars: The Force Awakens. There was even a video game that has heavily based on the DC comic universe, Batman Arkham Knight. Miss Dawn’s Musings – Red vs Green

Blog-MissDawnsMusingsLast week (on Christmas Day) the full trailer for Deadpool was released. As expected, there was a red band version and a green band version. Obviously, the red band was the one to watch. There are a lot of movies that do this for trailers now and there are a couple reasons for it. First, having a green band trailer means it can be shown on television and in theaters – we’ve all seen the green screen with “this trailer approved for this audience” language. Miss Dawn’s Musings – Outside the Box

Blog-MissDawnsMusingsMy favorite comic book character (can’t exactly say superhero) is Deadpool. For some reason, this seems to take many people by surprise (mostly male, mostly those who don’t know me very well). Admittedly, Deadpool is not a “girly” character, nor are the majority of his plotlines what would be considered female friendly (in other words, they’re usually violent as all get out).
