The older I get, the more I become disappointed by animated series. It’s not because these series aren’t necessarily good – usually they are beyond spectacular for the 4-10 year-old audiences they were written to be watched by. This might actually be a sign I’m maturing (I refuse to believe this though, given my weekend binges of Ninja Turtles). But every now and then, a series comes along that’s just too good not to watch though (see previous posts about Ducktales, Gravity Falls). Star Vs. Best Geeky Finds – Ducktales Woo-Hoo!

You may recall me writing about Darkwing Duck about a year ago, and how it was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid. Second to that were all the other Disney afternoon shows, most of all Ducktales. The very adventure of the show and mystery behind some of the characters (Magica, I’m looking at you, who the heck are you?) made it a perfect program for both children and pre-teens. Thankfully, in the recent tradition of 90s reboots, Disney has rebooted Ducktales. Gotham Gal West Coast – Changes Afoot for Pirates

Last week, the Internet was abuzz with rumors of a change to Pirate of the Caribbean at the Disneyland resort. The “beloved” bride auctioning portion of the ride is going to be replaced. While the changes will happen at the Disneyland Paris resort this year, the US-based parks (Disneyland and Magic Kingdom) can expect to see the changes in 2018, along with the annual refurbishment.
