Best Geeky Finds – Fun Is to Be Made

When I was a kid, my family’s big hobby/side business was selling at car shows and swap meets. It was mainly homemade pieces, however to add to the revenue, we would purchase other smaller merchandise that kids and car enthusiasts would enjoy – VW bug erasers, lights and, most of all, hula dolls. These weren’t any ordinary hula dolls though – they were Betty Boop bobbleheads. This was in the early days of bobbleheads, and none of us knew much about the craze. Comics Cosmos – The Black Private Dick

Back in 1971, a movie hit screens that took the film world by storm and became one of the most popular blaxploitation movies ever – I’m talkin’ ’bout Shaft (can you dig it?). Of course, even those who haven’t seen the movie (or its sequels or the 2000 remake or read the novels) probably know that Shaft’s “the black private dick that’s a sex machine to all the chicks”.
