The Pokemon Company really knows how to push my buttons. Yesterday, at like 6 am est, Coro Coro revealed that that there will be a new pokemon in the next movie. All they gave us was a silhouette and a name: Magiana. Then 6 hours later, Coro Coro revealed an image of the pokemon and the fact that it’s being chased and it’s a man-made pokemon. Just wow, ok, so there’s a lot to talk about this week since everything wants to happen at once. So let’s start with this past weekend and the Killer Instinct World Cup – that was a wonder to watch in and of itself. Normally KI is just at Evo and Combo Breaker, but now they have their own event which is really saying something. If you don’t know what KI is, head here to watch the event. Rico Suave, the KI Evo winner, won the world cup, but almost lost it playing a “bad” character, proving the point that anyone can beat anyone in KI. Hey Geeksters!
So while I was watching AGDQ I finally realized that it was 2016. I talked about what I’m looking forward to this year on the last Geek Watch One issue I was on, but something dawned on me. While I am excited for games on other consoles, the games for the Wiiu and 3ds are slim and being a college student this is a good thing. I only have to spend about $215 on games for me for the whole year… unless the NX gets released this year then who knows how much I may end up spending.
