This movie seems to be what the DC cinematic universe needs after the mixed reviews and backlash from the Dawn of Justice film. Everyone has those go-to movies or television shows they turn on when not feeling well. You know the ones I mean – you’ve seen the movie more than a dozen times and know all the lines or you have the plot of every episode of the show memorized because you’ve seen it five, six, 18 times. Irregular’s Intel – Space Western
A couple of weeks ago I was at my local comic shop picking up my pulls for the week when I noticed a title I had not seen in a very long time, Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs. Many of you may not have heard of this title. It was an animated series that was shown in the US in the late 80s and featured a team of four law officers who patrolled the outer reaches of civilized space in a ship that could turn into a giant robot (didn’t they all?). It was one of many shows that followed a similar formula. As I read the book I was reminded of my love of the space western and I wonder why it hasn’t had more than a niche following.
