Blog-MissDawnsMusingsOne of the stories I spotted last week was that Frank Miller is not happy that Elektra is going to be in season 2 of Daredevil. Anyone who has followed comics even a little would know that it’s not surprising Miller would react negatively to someone treating one of his characters differently than he would have (he did kill her off, after all). Thankfully, the showrunners on Daredevil have a good deal of sense and really don’t give a damn what Miller thinks – she’s a great character and a huge part of Matt Murdock’s story, plus the fans have wanted her ever since we saw the fantastic job done on season 1. Peggy Carter has just lost the love of her life, Steve Rogers – Captain America. She works herself to the bone for the S.S.R. (Strategic Scientific Reserve) – the precursor to S.H.I.E.L.D – while regularly being unnoticed by her superiors and those she is investigating. Unnoticed by most, except fellow agent Daniel Sousa and Howard Stark. Being unnoticed is an advantage to Carter, allowing her to go undercover and learn secrets nobody else is able to find. So while I was watching AGDQ I finally realized that it was 2016. I talked about what I’m looking forward to this year on the last Geek Watch One issue I was on, but something dawned on me. While I am excited for games on other consoles, the games for the Wiiu and 3ds are slim and being a college student this is a good thing. I only have to spend about $215 on games for me for the whole year… unless the NX gets released this year then who knows how much I may end up spending.
