If you don’t know by now that I’m a Deadpool fangirl, you’ve obviously not been reading this blog or listening to Geek Watch One. But anyway, we all know Deadpool opened this past weekend and, of course, I was there Thursday night to see it. (I’ve already seen it a second time too.) So it was a pretty obvious choice to make this week’s blog a review of the movie… a spoiler-filled, geekgasm heavy review. So if you haven’t yet seen the film and don’t want to know all the details, here’s my one sentence, spoiler-free review: This is everything a fan could want in a Deadpool movie – the characters are done right, there is violence and mayhem galore, and it’s absolutely hilarious. Irregular’s Intel – Parallel Worlds
Last week I was talking with a friend about the concept of parallel universes. I was explaining how modern science has embraced the possibility of there being a multiverse and what that could mean. Of course, there’s the world where I’m clean shaven and a criminal mastermind. But then, there is the other where Dr Banzai does exist and I am a full fledged Blue Blaze Irregular… and the list goes on from there. It made me think about the many times where I discover a facet about myself and wonder what it would be like if I’d dedicated more time to studying music, taken that trip abroad, or took a shot instead of talking myself out of whatever opportunity had crossed my path. The Gamer Geek Blog – What’s With the New Pokemon?
The Pokemon Company really knows how to push my buttons. Yesterday, at like 6 am est, Coro Coro revealed that that there will be a new pokemon in the next movie. All they gave us was a silhouette and a name: Magiana. Then 6 hours later, Coro Coro revealed an image of the pokemon and the fact that it’s being chased and it’s a man-made pokemon.
