Irregular’s Intel – Licensed to Kill and Thrill: My Top Spies

Blog-IIThis summer brings us Matt Damon back as Jason Bourne and me finally visiting a museum that I have longed to go to since its inception, the International Spy Museum in Washington D.C. I managed to finish a book this week and it got me to thinking: In the whole of all of the spies, secret agents, assassins, and freelance adventurers I have come across in my 45 years, who has made the biggest impression on me? To kick it up a notch, I thought of the different media, as well. So I am going to share my top 3 favorite spies in Movies, Television, Novels, Comics, Animation, and Video Games. I hope that you enjoy. If not, share your list with me! Continue reading Irregular’s Intel – Licensed to Kill and Thrill: My Top Spies

The Gamer Geek Blog – NX Wish List: Mario

GGBThe Nintendo NX is eight months out and still literally nothing is known about it other than the fact that it will be able to run Zelda Breath of the Wild and that’s pretty much it – everything else is a rumor. Nintendo doesn’t have a whole lot of pushing power when it comes to reasons to buy the thing, so I made a list of games I would want to see on the NX. While most of the list is Nintendo games, there are some 3rd party. I’ll write about one game a week for awhile. Continue reading The Gamer Geek Blog – NX Wish List: Mario

Into the Unknown – Games as Life

UnknownLogoThe big craze at the moment is video games. Nothing new about that. I too enjoy playing games.

Looking at the advances of the games now a days, I feel we could be heading into a SAO situation. So you ask what is SAO? Well SAO stands for Sword Art Online, it is an anime. Blog-MDMFor geeks of a certain age (north of 35), there are certain movies that should be on the “of course I’ve seen it” list. I’m not talking the obvious ones that should be on all geek lists regardless of age, like the original Star Wars trilogy or Lord of the Rings. No, I mean the less mainstream, the ones only lovers of scifi/fantasy would love… the true classics.  Continue reading Miss Dawn’s Musings – Classic Geek Filmdom

Best Geeky Finds – Spies Are Forever

Blog-BGFSecret agents – Somebody’s got to do it, might as well be Agent Curt Mega.

Less than a year after his British partner died as the result of Mega’s inconsideracy, he is back and on the case of black market nuclear bomb sales. Too bad the Russians are on the case also – or at least one, Tatiana Slozhno.

It’s Cold War America in Tin Can Brothers’ new musical, Spies are Forever. Starring Curt Mega as (who else) Agent Curt Mega (when you’ve got a name like that you’re obviously already a spy), Mary Kate Wiles as Slozhno, plus other such popular musical and YouTube celebrities as Joey Richter, Joey Walker, Lauren Lopez, Brian Rosenthal, and Tessa Netting, this musical takes the spy genre to a new medium – the stage and YouTube.
