A new Suicide Squad trailer dropped last week. On YouTube it already has almost 10 million views. This movie seems to be what the DC cinematic universe needs after the mixed reviews and backlash from the Dawn of Justice film. This year, for the first time in many years, I did not watch the Super Bowl (or the Big Game or whatever the hell you’re allowed to call it and not get in trouble for infringing the rights of the poor little NFL). Instead, I relaxed, read, watched some Netflix (Bob’s Burgers, if you need to know) and caught all the movie trailers online that were shown during the game. Last week (on Christmas Day) the full trailer for Deadpool was released. As expected, there was a red band version and a green band version. Obviously, the red band was the one to watch. There are a lot of movies that do this for trailers now and there are a couple reasons for it. First, having a green band trailer means it can be shown on television and in theaters – we’ve all seen the green screen with “this trailer approved for this audience” language.
