If you’re a fan of Doctor Who (aka a Whovian) or simply savvy in pop culture, you already know that the identity of the 13th Doctor has been revealed. Best Geeky Finds – Stay Tuned… A Look at Max Headroom

If you were around in the ’80s, there’s a good chance you have seen even a semblance of Max Headroom. Max is an A.I. in the form of a disembodied head, and starred in everything from movies and TV shows, to advertisements for everything under the sun in the mid-to-late ’80s in America and the UK. Starting off as a veejay, back when music videos were seen on television, he progressed to talk show host in the UK, finding his way over to America on cable TV. Irregular’s Intel – Kickstarters

Over the past year my household has given a bit of support to Kickstarter campaigns. We’ve supported artists, musicians, game developers and a host of other endeavors (even cricket protein bars… that was the wife’s idea). It got me to thinking. Kickstarter (and other forms of crowd funding) is a great way for us to take an active role in what we enjoy. It’s no longer just buying the game at the store, it is getting a bit of a reward for donating to the effort of getting it off the ground. It is being there as that newest album takes shape or helping an artist bring a dream to life.
