Irregular’s Intel – Star Wars and the Hero’s Journey

IrregularIntel I’m fresh from seeing Star Wars: The Force Awakens and I am buzzed and full of feels. But this isn’t a review of the movie. This is about a common theme through all of the Star Wars saga: the hero’s journey. We see it in Anakin’s story and Obi Wan’s, too. Most obviously we see it in Luke’s adventure, but there are so many more. The thing that I love the most is that it is presented in so many ways… as a story of redemption, as a cautionary tale, as the importance of heeding the call of that inner voice. The Gamer Geek Blog – Leveling Up and Moving On

GamerGeekHey Geeksters!

Well this was a crazy last few days in the world of gaming. Let’s start off with Konami. For months every rumor under the sun has surfaced about Kojima and Konami, and finally we know that Hideo Kojima has left Konami to start his own studio with Sony. The last I heard of the whole thing with Kojima was that he was “on vacation,” which was a lie, but hey at least he has finally moved on, to let Konami burn on its own. V-Yellow’s Comic Box – The Bat and the Turtles

VernComicThe most recent comic book I picked up was the DC comic and IDW published Batman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover. This is the first issue titled “Knights in a Half-shell”. This is a six issue series and it comes out monthly. I was curious on how other people would like the book but so far everybody seems to give it positive reviews. Who wouldn’t love to read The Dark Knight and four teenage mutant ninja turtles fight crime together? This is like a childhood dream come true. I get to read two of the best 90’s hero’s I grow up on in one book. Continue reading V-Yellow’s Comic Box – The Bat and the Turtles

Miss Dawn’s Musings – Give Me the Multiverse

Blog-MissDawnsMusingsI’ve always enjoyed time travel stories as well as ones involving travel to alternate worlds. Pretty sure I can blame this, at least in part, on reading the Narnia Chronicles as a kid and early exposure to Doctor Who (4 was my first). So it makes me happy that there are a number of movies, shows and books exploring this at the moment. Continue reading Miss Dawn’s Musings – Give Me the Multiverse
